It is published by the Carolus Borromeus Foundation from Antwerp. The bobbin laces from this publication, which were analysed and reworked, belong to the lace collections of the Carolus Borromeus Church in Antwerp (whose laces can also be seen in the Kantcentrum museum) and Saint Gummarus Church in Lier. There are also pieces from several private collections. The early Binche laces date from the 17th century and the first quarter of the 18th century. They were probably worked in the Antwerp area. The working diagrams reflect the method of working the old laces as faithfully as possible. The chapter on techniques brings together some lost or modified techniques and the development of a more modern method of working is shown. There is also a small chapter headed "Various types", which is interesting because lace with honeycomb ground is compared to Binche lace in it. And nice to know that, just as others have done before her, Nora confirms again in her book that it is far from clear where the lace got the name "Binche". It remains a mystery.... ページ数:183 出版社名:kantcentrum 著者名:Nora Andries 言語:英語含む4か国語 |
